Who are nomadtax?

Felix Schöttle is a Swedish lawyer (LL.M.) specializing in Swedish and international tax law and he runs nomadtax. Felix holds a law degree from Lund University, where he specialized in Swedish and international tax law towards the end of his studies, primary under the lead of Professor Mats Tjernberg. His thesis focused on the concept of "substantial affiliation" (väsentlig anknytning), the Swedish tax residency ground for individuals who have moved abroad from Sweden.

At nomadtax, we assist entrepreneurs, expats, and businesses with international tax matters. In today’s mobile and global world, it is crucial to take advantage of tax opportunities while ensuring compliance with increasingly complex regulations. At nomadtax, we are passionate about international mobility and have personal experience with location-independent work, living abroad, and the tax-related challenges that come with such a lifestyle. We believe that successful individuals see the world as their playing field—entrepreneurially, personally, and financially. That is why it is essential to have access to first-class tax advice when leading an international lifestyle.

We have a broad network of tax lawyers worldwide, which is essential for assisting our clients in all international tax matters that may arise. Typically, we handle the Swedish and international aspects of a case, while our partners manage the local/domestic tax issues in other jurisdictions.

Our focus is on providing strategic tax advice to individuals and businesses looking to optimize their tax situation, whether it concerns relocating from Sweden, investments, or tax compliance in Sweden. We operate with a global perspective, offering tailored solutions for clients who want to navigate the international tax landscape securely and profitably. We also provide assistance with tax litigation, including representation in court proceedings against the Swedish Tax Agency, and including representation in a Swedish Binding Tax Ruling Procedure, with the Swedish Tax Law Board ("Skatterättsnämnden").
