Tax Advice

Tax law is becoming increasingly complex with each passing year. New regulations from the EU and OECD coexist with purely Swedish regulations, resulting in a complex web of provisions.

At Nomadtax, for example, we offer tax advisory services for company sales, restructuring, and the impact of the Swedish 3:12 rules. We also handle all types of issues related to tax treaties, withholding tax, individual taxation, and corporate taxation.

Furthermore, we can assist in tax litigation - that is, when an individual or a company becomes involved in legal proceedings against the Swedish Tax Agency.

Receive assistance when needed

Have you received inquiries from the Swedish Tax Agency regarding your latest submitted tax return? Are you considering making a specific deduction but unsure if it's allowed? Often, valuable information can be obtained for simpler queries through the Swedish Tax Agency's website, but in many cases, individuals at the Tax Agency may not be sufficiently pedagogical or possess adequate expertise. Additionally, making mistakes can come at a cost. The risk of tax penalties is significant if errors are made.

We at Nomadtax assist both individuals and companies with tax advisory services on specific issues.

Ad-hoc Advice

Currently, it is relatively easy for Swedes with ordinary incomes to declare them, as the Swedish Tax Agency pre-populates virtually all incomes in the tax return form. For individuals receiving foreign incomes, such as capital gains in foreign banks, wages from foreign employers, transfers from foreign trusts, or similar, it is challenging to prepare a correct tax return.

We at Nomadtax have extensive experience in handling incomes from sources outside Sweden and ensure that you file your tax return correctly while not paying more tax than necessary.

Re-assessment and voluntary correction

Expats arriving in Sweden typically have significant income sources and assets abroad. These must be classified according to Swedish tax law and then declared, which is not always an easy task.

Regardless of the incomes you receive or the assets you control, we can assist you in ensuring that these are correctly declared in your Swedish tax return.
